中文裡面有句話叫做: 在傷口上撒鹽

意思是

當別人受傷時，還持續說某些話或做某些事去傷害別人

英文裡正好有同樣的表達

to rub salt to the wound (傷口上抹鹽巴)

或是

don't rub it in (不要在傷口上繼續揉)

提油救火

to add fuel to the fire

在傷口上加上嘲諷

to add insult to the injury

以上這些是比較常見的說法

之前在電影中

也看到這個說法
這次要分享的

don't twist the knife 

中文我的認知是很類似:  補刀

插入刀子後，還用力地轉動(感覺很痛)

舉個例子---->

She said that she never loves me, then she twisted the knife by saying I am just a rebound. 

她說她從沒有喜歡我, 更狠的是, 她說我只是個備胎...

註: rebound(n.) 籃板球/備胎

在這裡是指替代的男友, 過渡期的男友
