1）test the water

想不到中文的試水溫，在英文裡頭也有個類似且幾乎一樣的用法。當一個點子或產品想要先行測試大家對其看法的話可以使用。

Sometimes we test the water by conducting marketing surveys.

2）to bounce the idea off someone

將一個點子或想法bounce off 某人，就是先將這些點子與想法告訴某人，通常是先尋求他人意見與看法時會使用到。例如：

Can I bounce some new ideas off you ?

（我可以先將幾個新點子與您討論嗎？）
