這句話很直白應該不用解釋了吧。

old father time 時間老人（代表感嘆時間流逝）

• I think the old father time is catching up with me. 時間老人已經追到我這裡(年紀大了)。

to live on borrowed time活在借來的時間（代表苟延殘喘）（代表感嘆時間流逝）

• After he got sick, he felt like he is living on borrowed time. 他生病之後，感覺自己只剩苟延殘喘。

time is of the essence 時間不等人(代表動作要加快)（通常叫別人手腳快點時）

• essence是本質的意思，直接翻譯是時間是本質，就是時間不等人。
• Time is of the essence ! Hurry up, we are going to be late for school.時間不等人呀!動作快，去學校要遲到了。
