什麼是the grass is greener on the other side of the fence?

今天英文筆記要分享的是idiom(慣用語)是
"the grass is greener on the other side of the fence!"
就字面來看，像是另一邊的籬笆比較綠?
其實代表的是，羨慕別人家的東西比較好，

是不是有點座這山望那山的意味存在呢!!

補充:
講到這個grass單字
當那如果對方跟你講 Your ass is grass! ??
屁股是草?

哦~~ 原來是指"你死定了"  

例如某某人打翻了貴重花瓶，這時候你就可用
OH~~Your ass is grass...基本上就是You're in trouble 的概念~~

最後，grass在英文裡也有大麻的意思，
所以電影ˋ中常可聽到 smoking grass，就是指抽大麻菸的意思哦!!
